  2. *Answer :

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants and some microorganisms make substances like carbohydrates. It is an endothermic (takes in heat) chemical process that uses sunlight to turn carbon dioxide into sugars. The sugars are used by the cell as energy, and to build other kinds of molecules.

    Steps :

Conversion of light energy into chemical energy, and splitting of water into hydrogen and oxygen by light energy. Reduction of carbon dioxide by hydrogen to form carbohydrate like glucose by utilizing the chemical energy.

    Things used in photosynthesis :

sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create oxygen and energy in the form of sugar.

    Advantages of photosynthesis :

Through photosynthesis, green plants and cyanobacteria are able to transfer sunlight energy to molecular reaction centers for conversion into chemical energy .

    Products of photosynthesis :

During the process of photosynthesis plants break apart the reactants of carbon dioxide and water and recombine them to produce oxygen (O2) and a form of sugar called glucose (C6H12O6).
