There are 2 boxes A and B. If we take out 10 apples from A box & put these apples in B box then the number of apples in B box will be 4 times of A box. If we take out 5 apples from B box & put these apples into A box then the number of apples in both A & B boxes will be same in numbers. Find out the total apples in both the boxes .

Let the number of Apples in box A be x
Then, the number of Apples in box b = Y
According to the given question, we need to form the algebraic equation to solve the problem:–
(4+10) = 4( x-10)
4+10 = 4x – 40
4+50 = 4x ... i)
Now, for the second Condition in the question:–
x +5 = Y – 5
x+10 = Y ... ii)
Substituting 2) in 1) eqn. we get
( x + 10) +50 = 4x
= 60 = 3x
X = 20 ... iii)
Now, substituting 3) in 2)nd we get :–
y = (20) + 10
Y= 30
Therefore total number of Apples = x + y = 20+30 = 50
Hence, the total number of Apples in both the boxes = 50

Answer:
Apples :–
A = 20
B = 30
Total = 50
Step-by-step explanation:
Given –
There are 2 boxes A and B
If we take out 10 apples from A and put to B the Apples of B is 4 times A
If we take out 5 apples from B to A, Apples of A and B will equal
To find –
Total apples in both the boxes
Solution –
Let us think Apples in box A = x
And Apples in Box B = y
Apples in box A = x
Apples in box B = y
When we reduce 5 from A and add 5 to B, both become equal, so,
A – 5 = B + 5
=> x – 5 = y + 5
=> x = y + 5 + 5
=> x + y = 10...(i)
When we reduce 10 from A and add 10 to B, Be because 4 times A
=> B + 10 = (A – 10)×4
=> y + 10 = (x – 10)×4
=> y + 10 = 4x – 40
=> y + 10 + 40 = 4x
=> 10 + 40 = 4x – y
=> 4x – y = 50....(ii)
Now add (i) and (ii)
x + y = 10
+ 4x – y = 50
= 5x = 50
=> x = 50/5
=> x = 10
Means when apples reduced, then apples in box A became 10
We know that when Apple reduced from A, B become 4 times A
so
B = 4 × A
=> B = 4×10
=> B = 40
So
Apples in A before reducing
= A + 10
= 10 + 10
= 20
and apples in B before adding
= B – 10
= 40 – 10
= 30
So apples in A and B are 20 and 30 respectively.
Total apples = 50
When we add 5 to A and reduce 5 from B bith become equal. So our answer is correct.
hope it helps.
