1. Given :- The plot is divided into 2 squares. it is known that the size of the pond is 1 meter by 1 meter and lengths of all sides of the squares are whole numbers. write down the length and width of the entire plot ?

   Answer :-

   Let us assume that, the length and width of entire plot is x m and y m where x ,y € W .

   now, given that, the plot is divided into 2 squares . since both square have equal area , that means they have same dimension(1 * 1) , and length or width is divided into two parts .

   so, Let the plot is divided along length ,

   then,

   → (x/2) = 1

   → x = 2 m .

   and,

   → y = 1 m { since dimension of square are 1 * 1 .}

   also, Let the plot is divided along width,

   then,

   → (y/2) = 1

   → y = 2 m .

   and,

   → x = 1 m .

   therefore, length and width of the the plot are 2 m and 1 m or 1 m and 2 m .
