1. Let the length of the rectangle be l and

   the breadth of the rectangle be b

   GIVEN:

   b = 2l

   Perimeter of a rectangle

   30 = 2(l+b)

   30 = 2(l+2l)

   30 = 2(3l)

   30 = 6l

   l = 30/6

   l = 5 metres

   Since b = 2l

   b = 2×5

   b = 10 metres
