    6X=60 now we divide each side by 6.

    6X/6=60/6

    X=10 now lets prove X=10

    2(2X)+2(X)=60

    2(2×10)+2(10)=60

    2(20)+2(10)=60

    40+20=60

    60=60

    so X is equal to 10
