  1. Solution!!

    The area of a square = The area of a rectangle

    The side of the square is given. Let’s find the area of the square.

    Side = 20 cm

    Area = (Side)²

    Area = (20 cm)²

    Area of square = 400 cm²

    We have the area of the square which is equal to the area of the rectangle. So,

    Area of rectangle = 400 cm²

    The breadth of the rectangle is given and we also know the area of the rectangle. We can easily find out the length of the rectangle.

    Breadth = 12.5 cm

    Area = Length × Breadth

    400 cm² = Length × 12.5 cm

    Length = 400 cm² ÷ 12.5 cm

    Length = 32 cm

    Hence, the length of the rectangle is 32 cm.
