  1. Answer :

    • 285.8cm² is the area of remaining sheet

    Given :

    • Length is 20cm
    • Breadth is 30cm

    To find :

    • Area of remaining sheet

    Solution :

    Given,

    • Length of rectangular metal sheet is 20cm
    • Breadth of rectangular metal sheet is 30cm

    Diameter of circle is 20cm

    As we know that,

    • Radius = D/2

    》r = 20/2

    》r = 10cm

    Radius is 10cm

Now we have to find the area of circle

    As we know that,

    • Area of circle = πr²

    Where, r is radius

    》Area of circle = πr²

    》22/7 × 10 × 10

    》2200/7

    》314.2cm²

Now Area of rectangular sheet :

    • Area of rectangular sheet = l × b

    Where , l is length 20cm and b is breadth 30cm

    》20 × 30

    》600cm

Now , We have to find the area of remaining sheet :

    • Area of remaining sheet = Area of circle- Area of rectangular sheet

    》Area of remaining sheet = 314.2 – 600

    》485.2cm²

Hence ,285.8cm² is the area of remaining sheet

  2. Answer:

Diameter of largest circle=length of the smallest side of rectangle

    Area of rectangle=l×b=30×20=600cm

    2

    Area of circle=πr

    2

    =π(

    2

    d

    )

    2

    =π×(

    2

    20

    )

    2

    =314.16cm

    2

    Remaining area=600−314.16=285.84cm
