    first we have to factorise it like

    put x as 1

    (1)^3-2(1)^2-(1)+2

    1-2-1+2=0. if it comes 0 then

    so ,it means we can proceed to new step called long division.we write as x =1 , it becomes x-1

    x^3-2x^2-x+2 /x-1 = x^2-1x+2

    if the answer is 0 it means you are going right then we will proceed to our next step that is middle term splitting .. do the middle term splitting of the term x^2-1x+2=(x+1) (x-2) (x-1)
