    For triangle ABC, perimeter = AB+BC+CA & AB=AC

    ∴AB=AC= 1\2(36−16)cm=10cm

    Now, triangle ABE be a right angle triangle.

    Then by pythagoras theorem, we have

    h ^ +8 ^ =10 ^

    ⇒h=6cm

    Area of ΔABC =1\2×16cm×6cm=48cm^
