  1. Question Understanding :

In the above question, One survey was conducted and In that survey we find that among 120 pupils, 15% pupils goes school everyday by walking , 60% pupils goes school everyday by bus and 15% pupils goes school everyday by car .

    Solution :

    1) According to the question,

15% pupils goes school everyday by bus

Total no .of pupils = 120

    Now,

    = 15/100 * 120

    = 15/ 10 * 12

    = 15/ 5 * 6

    = 3 * 6

    = 18

Hence, 18 pupils goes school everyday by walking.

    2) According to the question,

60% pupils goes school everyday by bus

Total number of pupils = 120

    Therefore,

    = 60/100 * 120

    = 6/10 * 120

    = 6 * 12

    = 72

Hence, 72 pupils goes school everyday by bus .

    3) According to the question,

25% pupils goes school everyday by car

Total number of pupils = 120

    Therefore,

    = 25/100 * 120

    = 1/4 * 120

    = 120/4

    = 30

Hence, 30 pupils goes school everyday by car [tex].[/tex]
