  1. Area of Square is greater than Area of Rectangle by 400 cm²

    We Have :-

    A Square of side 60 cm and a Rectangle of length 80 cm have the same perimeter

    To Find :-

    Which encloses more Area

    Formula Used :-

    Perimeter of Square = 4 * side

    Area of Square = side * side

    Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( Length + Breadth )

    Area of Rectangle = Length * Breadth

    Solution :-

    According to Question

    Perimeter of Square = Perimeter of Rectangle

    4 * ( 60 ) = 2 ( 80 + b )

    240 = 160 + 2b

    2b = 80

    b = 40 cm

    Area of Rectangle = Length * Breadth

    = 80 * 40

    = 3200 cm²

    Area of Square = side * side

    = 60 * 60

    = 3600 cm²

    Area of Square is greater than Area of Rectangle by 400 cm²
