    Therefore,

    => 3x × 20

    => ₹60x

    Hence,

    The cost of a dozen eggs will be:-

    Cost of 1 egg × 12

    => x × 12

    => ₹12x

    x = 3y –(1)

    x+y = 216 –(2)

    substitute (1) in (2)

    3y+y = 216

    y= 216 / 4

    therefore y = 54

    substitute y = 54 in (1)

    x = 3×54 = 132

    therefore price of Apple = 132 rs

    price of egg =54 rs
