    (i) p + 2q + 3r

    = 1 + 2 × 5 + 3 × 2

    = 1 + 10 + 6 = 17

    (ii) 2a + 4b + 5c

    = 2 × 5 + 4 × 10 + 5 × 20

    = 10 + 40 + 100 = 150

    (iii) 3a – 2b = 3 × 8 – 2 × 10

    = 24 – 20 = 4
