Two jar A and B,both contain 20% milk .the quantity of jar A is 4 times than that of quantity of jar B.both jar mixtures are mixed and form new mixture C and 15 litres of water is added.the final ratio of water to milk is now 19:4 find the initial quantity of milk in jar B
Answer-
In jar A,
Milk =80×80100=64litres
Water = 16 litres
In jar B,
Total quantity = x litres
Milk =60×100=3x5litres
Water =2x5litres
According to the question,
64+3×516+2×5=52
=> 320+3×80+2x=52=>320+3×40+x=5
=> 200 + 5x = 320 + 3x
=> 5x – 3x = 320 – 200
=> 2x = 120 => x = 60 litres
Quantity of milk in jar C = (\frac{3x}{5} + 64) litres
=(3×605+64)litres
= (36 + 64) litres
= 100 litres
