  1. Given:

    • No. of boys = 15
    • No. of girls = 15

    To Find:

    • Probability of that she will select a girl ,P(E) ?

    Solution:

    It is given that the number of boys & girls.

    So , the total number of boys & girls in 8th period =30

    According to the Question

    Total Possible Outcomes = 30

    No. of Favourable Outcomes = 15

    P(E) = Favourable Outcomes/Total Possible Outcomes

    substitute the value we get

    [tex]\longrightarrow[/tex] P(E) = 15/30

    [tex]\longrightarrow[/tex] P(E) = 1/2

    • Hence, the probability that she will select a girl is 1/2.

  2. Given :-

    To Find :-

    Probability that she will select a girl?

    Solution :-

    We know that

    Probability = Favorable outcomes/Total No. of outcomes

    Probability = 15/30

    Probability = 5/10

    Probability = 1/2
