  1. Role of following in human digestive system.

    Explanation:

    • Digestive enzymes:- they play a key role in breaking down of food , they speed up the chemical reactions, they turn nutrients into substances that digestive tract can absorb. Saliva has digestive enzymes in it also the pancreas, gallbladder and liver has enzymes.
    • Hydrochloric acid:- it is an essential acid ,it helps destroy bacteria as well as other harmful organisms, it converts inactive pepsinogen into active pepsin, and helps metabolize proteins in our stomach.
    • Villi- increases the surface area of the intestine for food absorption , it has blood vessels, digested food is absorbed and transferred to the cells of the body.
