   Hypotenuse = H = 9 cm

   Perpendicular = P = 6 cm

   Base = B = ?

   USING PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

   • H^2 = P^2 + B^2

   • 9^2 = 6^2 + B^2

   • 81 = 36 + B^2

   • B^2 = 81 – 36

   • B^2 = 45

   • B = _/45

   • B = 3_/5

   HENCE , B = 3_/5
