A motor car company claims that their cars run an average of 30 miles per gallon of gasoline.

A random sample of 25 cars was tested and found to run an average of 29.6 miles to a gallon

of gasoline with standard deviation = 1 miles. With 1% of significance, should we accept

the claim of the motor car company? If the level of significance is 5%, will there be any change

in the decision?

  1. Step-by-step explanation:

I have a different Question than the ones listed above.

Since this Q asks for avg miles per gallon, why can’t we just use the other formula of avg speed ie 2.speed1.speed2/speed1+speed2?

Why can’t we use the same formula tweaked for gallons eg (2.2/5.5.4)/(2/5+5/4)
