1. Answer:

   a. 1 kilometre = 1000 metre

   8 kilometre = 8×1000 metre

   = 8000 metre

   b. 1 gram = 1000 miligrams

   9 gram = 9×000 miligrams

   = 9000

   = 9000 + 30

   = 9030 miligrams

   1 hours = 60 minutes

   9 hours = 9× 60

   = 540 minutes

   = 540 + 25

   = 565 minutes
