1. Let y= ln (sqrt (x-1) (x+1))

   y=1/2 ln ((x-1) (x+1))

   y= 1/2 ln (x-1)+1/2 ln (x+1)

   Hence dy/dx = 1/2(x-1) + 1/2(x+1)
