1. ANSWER = 12.5 cm

   length of stick = 5cm

   length of shadow = 2m

   ratio of stick to shadow = 5 / 200

   = 1 / 40

   the ratio of shadow to figure is constant

   length of shadow of pole = 5 m = 500 cm

   length of pole = x

   x / 500 = 1/ 40

   x = 500 / 40

   x = 12.5 cm
