Vijay takes 3 days more than Rahim to complete a piece of work. Kabir takes 15 days more than Vijay to
complete the same piece of work. Rahim can complete two third of the same work in 18 days. In how many
days can Vijay and Kabir together complete the same work?
Solution :–
given that,
→ Rahim can complete (2/3) work in = 18 days.
so,
→ Rahim completes 1 work in = 18 * (3/2) = 27 days .
then,
→ Vijay completes the work in = 27+ 3 = 30 days.
and,
→ Kabir completes the work in = 30 + 15 = 45 days.
therefore,
→ Vijay and kapir together complete the same work in = (1/30) + (1/45) = (3 + 2)/90 = (5/90) = (1/18) = 18 days (Ans.)
