then,
→ Total missing students = Students went to basketball tournament + Students called sick = (1/8) + (1/6) = (3 + 4)/24 = (7/24) .
therefore,
→ Left students = 1 – (7/24) = (24 – 7)/24 = (17/24)(Ans.)
Hence,(7/24)fraction of the class was in school .
