   There will be profit. 33.3 %

   Step by step explanation :

   Let CP of 16 articles be x .

   CP of 1 article = x/ 16 rs.

   Let SP of 12 articles be y .

   ATQ , x = y

   So , SP of 12 articles = x

   SP of 1 article = x/12 rs.

   Profit = SP – CP

   = x / 12 – x / 16

   = 4x / 48 – 3x / 48

   = x / 48

   Profit % =( P × 100 / CP )

   = 100 x / 48 / x / 16

   = 100x / 48. × 16 / x

   = 100 / 3 = 33.3 %
