   Solution :

   ⇒ Let the age of Kamal be x years

   ⇒ Then age of Shreyansh will be 2x years

   According to the Question :

   ⟹ Sum of their ages = 57

   ⟹ x + 2x = 57

   ⟹ 3x = 57

   ⟹ x = 57 / 3

   ⟹ x = 19

   Therefore :

   • Age of Kamal = x = 19years
   • Age of Shreyansh = 2x = 2(19) = 38years

   SOLUTION

   Let us assume that the present age of Kamal is ‘x’ years.

   ∵ It is said that Shreyansh is 2 times the age of his brother Kamal.

   Present age of Shreyansh = 2x [tex]\longrightarrow[/tex] (1)

   Also , it is said that the sum of their ages is 56.

   [tex]\implies[/tex] x + 2x = 56

   [tex]\implies[/tex] 3x = 56

   [tex]\implies \sf x = \dfrac{56}{3}[/tex]

   [tex]\implies[/tex] x = 18.66 ≈ 19

   ∴ The age of Kamal = 19 years.

   From (1) , age of Shreyansh = 2x = 2 × 19

   ∴ The age of Shreyansh = 38 years.
